September rain amounts not unusual, but 2022 still wetter than average

September brought an average of 3.31 inches of precipitation to the Great Miami River Watershed which is only 0.15 inches above the monthly average. The highest amount was recorded at the monitoring station in Middletown (6.97 inches) and the lowest amount was recorded in Arcanum (1.02 inches). As of September 30, the Great Miami River Watershed received 35.96 inches of precipitation in 2022 - that is 3.26 inches above average for this point in the calendar year.
