January precipitation shows rising levels

January delivered an average of 3.76 inches of precipitation to the Great Miami River Watershed. That is 0.67 inches above the monthly normal levels. The station that recorded the highest level occurred at West Liberty (5.03 inches) and the lowest level was recorded at Collinsville (3.16 inches). Total January runoff for the Great Miami River at Hamilton was 1.01 inches which is 1.03 inches below normal. There was no water stored behind MCD flood protection dams in January.
