Public Relations Manager

MCD is seeking a communications professional who is passionate about communications, public relations, marketing and all communications-adjacent disciplines. This person will serve as the Public Relations Manager delivering both internal and external communications.


Works closely with the General Manager to define MCD’s public relations goals by developing and implementing strategies to maintain its public image.

Develops, implements, evaluates integrated communications plans (target audience strategy; communications materials development; digital/print distribution mediums; public and media relations strategies, tactics and tracking; contact databases, overall activity scheduling and reporting). Cultivates strong relationships with media outlets and journalists to ensure efficient communication and maximum coverage. Schedules press conferences and public events, and coordinates interview requests. Prepares and delivers presentations on behalf of MCD.

Develops a variety of different content to support communications and marketing efforts, including newsletters, website/social media, brochures, and press releases, etc. Monitors analytics, creates reports, and summarizes findings detailing the successes and failures of communications campaigns and strategies. Researches industry trends, stakeholders, communities, public agencies, associations, special interest groups, regulatory requirements, and MCD’s past materials to create new content.

Qualification Requirements:

 Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or similar field with five years of progressive experience. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting set deadlines. Candidate may be asked to provide examples of content designed for social media platforms, blogs, and/or other communication mediums.
