Germantown Dam Caretaker
Miami Conservancy District (MCD) is seeking a driven and organized individual to join our team as the Germantown Dam Caretaker!
Maintains the flood protection dam, levees, embankments, assigned lands (at Germantown and other locations), structures and facilities by mowing; trimming vegetation, hedges and trees; removing vegetation; applying herbicides; removing trash and debris; and performing necessary repairs. Monitors and reports rainfall, river stages and monitoring wells. Operates and maintains tractors, mowers, hand and power tools, and other equipment.
Keeps accurate records and submits timely reports. Subject to 24 hour call out.
The qualified candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and minimum of three years related experience. Must have valid driver’s license. Required to possess, or obtain within 6 months, Class B CDL and pesticide license (core, category 5 and 8).
