Miami Conservancy District (MCD) is seeking an engineering associate to join our team!
Performs work associated with civil engineering infrastructure management and project management related to flood protection and outdoor recreation. Plans, analyzes, designs, manages, and inspects projects related to levees, dams, floodwalls, revetments, storm sewers, floodgates, bridges, culverts, and bike trails. Assists with infrastructure condition assessments, capital planning, cost estimates, reports, and budgeting. May complete plan reviews, regulatory permit applications, and grant applications.
Prepares materials and may represent MCD at various meetings. Provides information and answers questions regarding projects.
Don’t have experience with engineering flood protection infrastructure or outdoor recreation amenities? No problem! We would love to train a motivated engineer to work with our knowledgeable engineering team! Must have the willingness to learn and grow.
The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline, or an associate’s degree and two years of experience. Candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering and construction concepts and principles. Candidate should be detail oriented, organized, and have excellent written and oral communication.
