Rainfall for August was below average, but 2022 is still tracking above
August delivered an average of 2.62 inches of precipitation to the Great Miami River Watershed ― that is 0.58 inches below the monthly average. The highest amount was recorded at the monitoring station in Springfield (4.50 inches), and the lowest amount was recorded in West Milton (0.70 inches). As of August 31, 2022, the Great Miami River Watershed had received 32.64 inches of precipitation for the year. That is 3.10 inches above average for this point in the calendar year.
